Alaska!!!!

I'm really having a hard time thinking about anything else right now.

We leave this Sunday, August 10. After a day in Anchorage, we will head to Denali for a week or more of backpacking. After that, we plan to head south to Seward to do some hiking and sea-kayaking. We'll be back in Oregon Sunday, August 31.

Favorite statement on the Denali National Park website: "Bears are curious animals and will investigate odd things with their mouth and paws. While such investigating could potentially injure a human, it is not considered an attack and the bear will usually run at the first sign of a human activity."

Anyhow, I was thinking that since I had this blog already set-up, I could use it to update people on how our trip is going if we manage to get to an internet cafe -- or at least a way to share photos after we get back.
